Hello, and welcome!

My name is Tex Bishop. I'm an introspective, day-dreaming, sometimes clueless, always eclectic artist. I'm also a cartoon and anime afficianado.

I was always told I could be anything I wanted to be when I grew up. If that were true, I'd be the devilishly handsome, super-powered, super-genius kung fu master billionaire-owner of my favorite sports team, the Chicago Bears. But, since reality won't let that happen, I paint and sculpt instead. I operate out of Corpus Christi, Texas, where I have lived most of my life. Go Islanders!

What is my art about?

In my opinion, a successful piece of art holds not only the eye, but also the mind. If a piece is successful, you want to keep looking at it, and it makes you think. That is what I believe, and what I strive for in my work, sometimes through symbolism, and sometimes through compositional concepts. In my pursuit of this, my content is sometimes surreal, sometimes wildly colorful, sometimes dark and macabre, and often-times confusing. But I love it all, and hope you will too.
